The Jarrah Sweater is a tried and true garment for many makers, and with good reason! This everyday sweater is exactly the kind of layer that will help you to transition to cooler weather and keep you cosy when the temperature really drops.
Jarrah has a relaxed fit which is loose through the body and has dropped shoulders. We’ve included enough fabric in this kit to make View A of the pattern, which is finished with cuffs and a hem band. In her top tips video Lauren demonstrates how to adjust the size of these pieces if you would prefer a more fitted look (as on Lauren’s samples).
We’ve paired this pattern with a premium fleeceback sweatshirting made with organic cotton - a knit fabric with a smooth outer surface and a soft, brushed reverse. It’s warm enough for cool days yet breathable enough for everyday wear, making it the perfect match for this layering piece.
If you’re new to sewing with knits then Lauren has packed her video with tips on working with these fabrics. For more experienced makers she also demonstrates how to add an optional neck facing for a clean finish inside. And if you really want to personalise your make then we’ve created exclusive embroidery kits which will make your sweater truly unique.
Each kit includes enough fabric for the View A sweater with cuffs and a hem band - full details of kit contents can be found below.
Please note this is a supplies kit and does not include the Jarrah Sweater pattern or embroidery supplies. These can be added as separate products using the links below.

This kit is available in two plains and one print of our Snuggly Fleeceback Sweatshirt Fabric: ivory, maroon or leopard.
This fabric is super cosy and lovely and snug to wear. It is a very stable fabric, which makes this kit a great starting point for anyone new to sewing knits. It is a heavier weight sweatshirt fabric with a weight of 320 g/m² and has a soft, fleecy reverse. This fabric is made of 82% organic cotton and 18% recycled polyester.
For a professional finish on your sweater, we’ve sourced matching ribbings for the sweatshirtings for use on the neckband, cuffs and waistband. Each kit comes with a length of coordinating 2x2 cotton ribbing fabric. This fabric is 95% cotton, with 5% elastane, which gives it really good stretch and recovery.
