The Pepin Tote is a classic everyday bag that will become your new go-to. Its well proportioned size means it holds all of your essentials without being oversized.
On the outside there's a handy patch pocket which is great for quick access items. Add some extra security to this with a magnetic snap closure or a turn clasp*, which also give a professional finish.
Inside, the bag is nice and roomy with shaping provided by the clever corners. There's also an internal slip pocket which can be customised to suit the size of your belongings. The top of the bag closes with a neatly inserted zip, but if you would prefer a simpler make then Lauren also demonstrates how to add a magnetic snap here.
The straps are designed to be worn on the shoulder and we've sourced some gorgeous matching webbings for this kit. Perfect for adding a little extra interest to this useful bag!

This kit is available in four colours: navy, cobalt, ochre and green.
For the outer fabric we've chosen these lovely canvas fabrics from Sevenberry. These heavier weight fabrics are ideal for bag making as they're light enough to sew with yet durable enough to handle a lot of wear and tear. They are 100% cotton and weigh 325 gsm.
For the lining we've sourced cotton poplin with a cute micro dot design. The navy and cobalt kits contain navy lining fabric and the ochre and green kits contain fawn lining. The poplins are 100% cotton.

- The Pepin Tote Bag PDF Pattern by Noodlehead. The link to the PDF instruction booklet will be contained in your order confirmation email. It will also be available to access when logged into the g&g website. (Please note, the pattern is a set of instructions with the dimensions of the fabric sections that need to be cut out. Dot and cross paper is provided for making templates).

- Interfacing: 0.8m mid weight woven cotton iron-on interfacing.
- Webbing: 1.5m geometric webbing to match fabric
- Zip: 1 x 51cm antique brass zip with cream tape
- Pattern paper: 85cm of dot and cross paper for making optional templates
- Thread: 1 reel of Gutermann thread to match fabric, shades 310 (navy), 315 (cobalt), 412 (ochre) or 561 (green)

A physical print out of the instruction booklet will NOT be included. You can view the instruction booklet on your device at home, print it out at home, or add the 'printed pattern instructions' product (see link below) to your order and we will print it for you. This kit does also not include a magnetic snap or a turn clasp, these can be added below if required.
Alongside the purchase of this kit you will receive access to a set of 2 of Lauren's exclusive YouTube videos to be used alongside the pattern instructions.
She shares her hints and tips on getting a really lovely finish on your bag including how to cut out the bag, how to insert the zip, how to attach a turn clasp or magnetic snap, how to attach the straps and much more!
The videos have over 50 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

This is a great project for beginners who are building up their skills and trying new techniques for the first time as well as those with more experience who are looking for something a bit different!
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
