There are two leg options to choose from, giving you plenty of choice to really make them your own. View A is a full-length wide leg with an easy, relaxed feel that works beautifully for everyday wear. View B is ankle length with a gentle barrel shape, offering a softer take on the current silhouette without feeling overdone. Both versions are designed to sit comfortably at the waist and slot straight into a handmade wardrobe, ready to be worn on repeat.
To support you along the way, Lauren’s Top Tips video guides you through key techniques, including sewing a zip fly and working confidently with woven fabrics. Lauren also demonstrates how to add back pockets, an optional feature that’s a fun way to customise your pair.
For this kit, we’ve chosen beautiful ramie fabrics from our core Guthrie & Ghani collection. Soft, breathable and full of natural texture, they have just enough structure to hold their shape while remaining comfortable to wear. Easy to dress up or down, they’re a perfect match for this style of trouser.
The Falconer Trousers are a project that feels considered but not overwhelming, and one that rewards you with a pair of trousers you’ll genuinely enjoy wearing.
The fabric for this kit is available in three classic colours: muted cornflower, muted khaki and washed indigo.
This ramie fabric combines the natural texture of linen with the strength of cotton for a breathable, medium-weight fabric. It has slubbed, textured surface that is more raised than a traditional linen, giving a really rustic, characterful appearance to the fabric. It feels a bit thicker and heavier than a medium weight linen and is overall a more structured fabric, but still not stiff. This fabric is 75% linen and 25% cotton with a GSM of 255.
This fabric is part of Guthrie & Ghani’s Core Collection – a carefully curated range of sewing staples. It's one of our favourite fabrics to sew and wear!

This pattern is available in sizes US 0-34. There are two size options for this kit:
Up to size US 26: Waist 24 - 44” (61 - 112cm), hip 33 - 54” (84 - 137cm)
Up to size US 34: Waist 24 - 52” (61 - 132cm), hip 33 - 62” (84 - 157.5cm)

In her exclusive video tutorial, Lauren shows you how to:
- draft and sew back pockets (an addition to the pattern)
- confidently sew the zip fly
- attach your waistband using an alternative method
- position and sew a buttonhole
- attach your button and create a shank
Plus lots of tips on getting your topstitching looking amazing! Lauren also gives you advice on how to baste fit your trousers so that they feel great to wear once finished.
The video has over 40 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.
