This kit is available in two colours of our Sevenberry Cotton Twill: Ecru and Bordeaux
This fabric is perfect for outerwear; it is hardwearing, yet not stiff and has a lovely softness to it. It is 100% cotton, giving it the breathability needed for a spring jacket. Its medium-heavy 267 g/m² weight makes it perfect for garments that need shape and structure, such as the Sorrento. The colours pair beautifully with the fabrics in our Flùr collection!

A physical print out of the instruction booklet will NOT be included. You can view the instruction booklet on your device at home, print it out at home, or add the 'printed pattern instructions' product (see link below) to your order and we will print it for you.
In her exclusive video tutorials that are included in this kit, Lauren shows you how to:

With Lauren's guidance you'll learn the skills you need to create a gorgeous jacket that will slot easily into your wardrobe!
The two videos have over 45 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.
This kit also includes BONUS access to Lauren's video on how to distress denim using colour remover and bleach, originally included with the Dawn jeans kit, should you want to remake your Sorrento in denim.

This pattern is aimed at intermediate to advanced level dressmakers. The construction itself is fairly straightforward, but it's a longer make and there are some areas that require precision, such as the collar insertion and topstitching.
The instructions that come with the pattern are very detailed and Lauren's top tips videos include lots of advice on the trickier elements of construction.
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
An overlocker is beneficial for finishing off the seam allowances. Please note that you may need additional thread if you are finishing your seams on a regular sewing machine.
We highly recommend the Prym Vario Pliers or Creative Tool for attaching the buttons onto this project. It will give you much better control for greater accuracy.
