This jeans supplies bundle features Cone Mills stretch denim, a premium fabric woven with a touch of elastane for comfort and ease of movement. Known for its durability and excellent recovery, it’s the ideal stretch jeans denim; it looks great and it wears beautifully over time.
With your bundle you'll also receive all the essential notions to give your jeans that better-than-store-bought finish. From a brass zip and rivets, to our exclusive g&g imitation leather patch - we've got the details covered!
As this bundle does not include a pattern, you've got the freedom to add your favourite. You might go for a sewing community classic with the Gingers from Closet Core or maybe a more retro style with the Chalk and Notch Isle Jeans.
For a little extra support sewing up your jeans, this bundle includes access to Lauren's stretch jeans top tips videos, which cover advice on making the Ginger jeans, along with the Ames jeans by Cashmerette and Ash jeans from Megan Nielsen. With 10 videos in total totalling over 1.5 hrs, she's sure to have all your jeans making questions covered!
In these videos Lauren walks you through every step of the process, from cutting into your denim with confidence to mastering topstitching, inserting a zip fly and fine-tuning the fit. By the end, you’ll have a pair of jeans that feel well made and perfectly suited to you - a handmade piece to rival your ready-to-wear favourites!

We have sourced the most amazing stretch denim for this project direct from the Cone Mills Factory. Their denim is renowned for its superior quality and the stretch denim in particular for its special 'S-gene' spandex - believed to be the best for comfort and recovery, making baggy knees a thing of the past!
Cone Mills’ S-Gene technology is a patented process that produces durable stretch denim with excellent recovery, by combining cotton and polyester fibers with Lycra. This innovation ensures the denim maintains its shape and won’t sag or grow multiple sizes throughout the day like lower-quality denim.
The denim comes in a raw form and will naturally fade and wear-in over time. At first, it will have the deep, saturated look you see in the photos, but with regular wear and washing it will lighten and develop character. Just a heads-up - before the fading begins, you may want to steer clear of white sofas!
This denim is 91% cotton, 7% recycled polyester and 2% spandex which gives it just the right amount of stretch for most stretch jeans patterns. It is a mid weight denim with a weight of 365gsm / 10.75oz and a width of 132cm / 52".
To line the front pockets we've sourced cotton poplin with a cute micro dot design. This stable fabric is 100% cotton with a navy background and white dots. It is 148cm / 59" wide.

Alongside the purchase of this bundle you will receive access to Lauren’s exclusive YouTube videos on making stretch jeans, which can be used alongside the pattern instructions.
The ten videos cover the construction of the Cashmerette Ames, Closet Core Mid-rise Ginger and Megan Nielsen Ash jeans as examples, but the information included could be applied to other jeans patterns as well.
In these videos Lauren gives her advice on:
- pre-washing and caring for your denim
- choosing a size, grading between sizes and baste fitting
- cutting out your denim
- getting professional looking top stitching
- sewing the fly front zip
- installing professional-looking hardware
The ten videos have over 1hr 40 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools. You will also need a hammer for attaching the buttons and rivets, or the Prym Vario Pliers or Vario Creative Tool along with the jeans button tool inserts.
As this is a supplies bundle, you will also need a sewing pattern for stretch jeans. We'd highly recommend the Ash, Ames and Ginger jeans patterns - paper copies of these in sizes can be added as separate products above. PDF patterns for the full size range of the Ash and Ginger patterns can be purchased directly from the Megan Nielsen and Closet Core websites and can be printed using our A0 printing service.
Your bundle will be wrapped in tissue and beautifully presented in recyclable packaging.
We will aim to dispatch all kits and bundles as soon as possible after orders are placed, and we aim to have all kits shipped out by Friday 15th May.
