For this pattern, woven cottons or linens with a moderate or fluid drape are recommend. Stiffer fabrics with a voluminous drape can be used, but they may result in a “poofier” garment. Fabrics with a lot of stretch or a loose weave like gauze are not recommended, as they can make the binding construction quite tricky.
