With a 50% two way stretch and 200gsm weight it’s a really versatile fabric. Matching tubular ribbings available in most colours.

It is a more weighty jersey at 270gsm but due to the modal fibre, which is very similar to rayon, it gives this jersey a beautiful drape and texture. The right side of the fabric has a smooth finish with a slight sheen and the reverse has a loopback texture due to the way it has been knitted.

Best for:

  • Lighter weight sweatshirts
  • Heavier weight t-shirt and tops
  • Hoodies and joggers
  • Casual dresses

Cosy Colours Sweatshirting Fabric

As one of our longest standing ranges of fabric, the cosy colours range of sweatshirting fabrics really stand the test of time. They wash and wear beautifully! Each shade has lots of coloured flecks knitted into the fabric, making this plain more interesting with a slight texture.

We have matching or coordinating ribbing or cuffing available for most colours and this is noted on each individual fabric listing.

  • Sweatshirts and hoodies
  • Comfy joggers
  • Loungewear
  • Warm casual dresses

Snuggly sweatshirting Fabric

What is it: This is our heaviest weight sweatshirting at 320gsm and is made with 82% Organic Cotton and 18% recycled polyester with a 30% 4 way stretch. It’s called snuggly for a reason - the reverse of this fabric has been brushed to give a soft and fluffy finish making it feel very cosy and warm against the skin.

Best for

  • Jumpers and hoodies
  • Jogging bottoms and more structured lounge wear.

Organic Cotton Tubular Ribbing Fabric

What it is: A circular-knit fabric made from 95% GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standard) certified organic cotton  and 5% elastane. The elastane content and the way it has been knitted give it great stretch and recovery, with a 30% two way stretch. It comes as a tube that is approximately 35cm wide when laid flat and uncut, so when cut open its width is approx double. Matching ribbing gives a polished, professional finish to knit garments — and it’s especially handy when available in coordinating colours. We note on all fabric listings when there is an exact match to another fabric, but the array of colours we offer mean there is usually something that can tone or go with your main fabric.
