Team G&G Goddess Collection Makes

In this blog, we’re sharing what each of us made, the fabrics we fell in love with, and a few behind-the-scenes thoughts from the cutting table.

One of the best parts of launching a new fabric collection is seeing what the team here at G&G decide to make with it! The Goddess Collection was no exception, we were all completely inspired by the beautiful colours, rich designs and dreamy new to g&g base cloth. From floaty dresses and chic style to comfy everyday tops, everyone picked something that felt truly "them" from the range.

In this blog, we’re sharing what each of us made, the fabrics we fell in love with, and a few behind-the-scenes thoughts from the cutting table. Whether you’re after a bit of outfit inspiration or curious about how these fabrics handle in real life, we hope our makes spark some ideas for your next project too.

Another Goddess collection make from me! The Matchy Matchy Split Peplum Tank in the Delphi Tiles print, a perfect pairing for summer. This super cute top pairs beautifully with jeans or floaty linen trousers for warm sunny days. It’s also a brilliant way to try a bold print without the pressure of pattern matching, especially if you usually opt for more subtle designs.

The Kid's Goddess makes!

Sophia wore a Waves and Wild Kinjarling Dress in Bougainvillea. She loves the cure houses with pops of pink. I lengthed the skirt so she could have the long flowing dress she loveling asked for!

Solly had the Waves and Wild Sunset Shirt, he loves the Goddess Power and wanted his own smart shirt in this print.

Sammy wore Waves and Wild Free Dungarees and I chose him the Blue Ariadne for these adorable summer dungers!

Becca's Goddess Outfit!

Becca sewed up the Fran Shirt in Bougainvillea and paired it with Dawn Jeans in the pink punch textured linen blend. She also stitched a breezy Anna Allen Demeter Dress in Pink Ariadne. I just love how versatile these fabrics are are across patterns!

Belle's Donny Shirt

Belle made the Friday Pattern Co. Donny Shirt in Goddess Power, using Patterntrace Swedish Tracing Paper to widen and lengthen the shirt for a more flowing silhouette. The result? A longer, looser version of the typically cropped pattern that really lets the bold print shine. It’s a simple shape made striking by the fabric choice.

Rosie's Goddess Vest

Rosie opted for the Chalk and Notch Marcel Dress as a vest in Goddess Power. The gathered design really shows the beautiful drape of the viscose linen and keeps the garment light and airy. Fit for a Goddess!

Hannah's Tie Top

Hannah chose the Puff and Pencil Tie Top (coming to G&G soon!) layered over a Zoey Tank made in the Lapis Meet Milk Derby Ribbed Tencel Jersey. It’s the ideal throw-on piece for warm weather and a perfect mix of floaty and fitted.

Kate's Samara Hack

Kate turned the Tilly and the Buttons Samara into a dress with her clever hack, creating a relaxed piece that’s perfect for soaking up the summer sun. Light, bright, and an ideal summer staple!

Jess' Brunch Set

Jess went for a full Matchy Matchy Ruffle Brunch Set with both top and trousers. The trousers were stitched in our Lapis Washed Enzyme Linen Blend – back in stock soon! – and the whole outfit is a relaxed, coordinated summer dream.

Lorna's Summer Wrap Dress

Lorna used the Named Kielo Wrap Dress in Blue Ariadne, proving that this jersey pattern works beautifully in a woven with good drape. Just remember to size up if you're making the switch!

Vivvy's Sanda Hack

Vivvy hacked the Merchant & Mills Sanda Jacket into a shirt, sizing down twice and skipping the topstitching for a minimal, Japanese-style look. That boxy shape paired with the Ariadne Blue is effortlessly cool.

Jo chose the Zero Waste Cropped Shirt in Blue Ariadne. A clever, eco-conscious choice that shows off the geometric design beautifully. The maze design of the shirt work so well against the clean lines of this sewing pattern

We hope you’re feeling inspired by all the amazing team makes! Whether you’re dreaming of your next sunshine-ready outfit or finally cutting into that special fabric, here’s to sewing something that makes you feel like a goddess ✨
