Me Made Showcase!

If you missed the catwalk or just want to soak up some serious inspo, here’s a closer look at a few of the fabulous outfits, and what the makers themselves had to say.

When we launched the Goddess Collection in store, the atmosphere was absolutely divine, full of colour, creativity and the joyful energy that comes from celebrating our wonderful G&G community.

It meant so much to have so many of you take part, whether you were in the room with us or following along from home. Our ambassadors were shining in their makes, and it was such a treat to invite even more makers to strut their stuff on the day and share how they made these beautiful fabrics their own.

So if you missed the catwalk or just want to soak up some serious inspo, here’s a closer look at a few of the fabulous outfits, and what the makers themselves had to say.

Suzie in Ariadne Blue

Suzie went for the ultimate summer co-ord with our Fran Skirt Kit and add on trouser bundle in the Ariadne Viscose Linen in blue. She made both the shirt, shorts and full-length trousers, creating a breezy mix-and-match set that she described as “secret pyjamas—except it is!”

The fabric’s fun print and beautiful quality made it a standout choice for sunny days. Suzie loved the combo so much she’s already planning her next make: a Delphi Tile Puff & Pencil Tie Blouse, inspired by Hannah’s version from the event.

“I love this fabric, the quality of the base is amazing and the print is so fun too. I made a mix-and-match summer coord and it’s so comfortable… secret pyjamas except it is!!”

Nim in Delphi Tiles

Nim embraced full summer comfort with the Fran Shirt and trouser add-on bundle in the playful Delphi Tile print. Stylish, sweet, and effortlessly cool, her set is perfect for sunny lounging.

“My favourite thing is the base cloth, it’s so soft, lightweight and easy to sew with. And the print? Total winner. Lobster, olive martini, and that perfect shade of blue.”

She even squeezed in a matching eye mask using a free Tilly and the Buttons pattern! Though she’s run out of scraps, she already has plans for her next make:

“I got the Bougainvillea fabric too, I had to grab it in case it sold out! I’m thinking either a Mabel Dress or a shirt dress.”

Megan in Ariadne Pink

Megan’s outfit had beautiful movement and ease, made in the True Bias Ogden cami and Mave skirt. She loves how the fabric felt and how it handled:

“The swish factor is unreal, it hangs beautifully and feels so nice against the skin. I’m a big fan of natural fibres and the linen viscose is a winner. It’s breathable and keeps you cool in the warmer months.”

Megan also shared a great sewing tip for this fabric: “I swapped to super sharp pins and changed my machine needle to a Microtex, just to be safe.”

Since the event, Megan’s been busy sewing even more: “Honestly, this is one of my all-time favourite base cloths. I really hope Lauren uses it again for future designs!”

“I made the Closet Core Elodie dress in the Bougainvillea print for my holiday and I 100% plan to make more from this range. I’ve got my eye on the Delphi Tiles next—thinking Matchy Matchy Brunch Set or maybe the Friday Pattern Company Saguaro set!

Christine in Goddess Power

Christine made a perfect holiday dress in the Goddess Power print (plus a matching hairband) choosing to make the Charlie Caftan!

“I love the colours and design of this fabric—it was lovely to sew! The panel with ties was made so much easier thanks to Lauren’s video from a previous kit.”

And she couldn’t resist snapping up more:

“I bought some of the blue Ariadne after the event, once I saw the colour in real life, I knew I had to make a shirt from it!”

Lesley’s Bougainvillea Island Coord

Lesley created a stunning coordinated set in Bougainvillea, and she shared such thoughtful insight on working with the fabric.

“It was beautiful to work with—stable but with lovely drape. Perfect for easy summer wearing.”

And she’s not done yet!

“I’ve ordered the Ariadne in both colourways, I’ve got the cobalt kit with the trouser add-on, and I’m making a Zadie jumpsuit in the pink version. It’s pre-washing as we speak!”

Lesley used a left over piece of the bougainvillea to line the inside of her adorable city set bum bag. Such a special touch to this bag make too!

Helen in Goddess Power

Helen’s Darling Ranges Dress in the Goddess Power print is floaty, fresh and full of personality. She loved sewing with the viscose-linen blend, it’s soft, drapey and so easy to wear.

To make the pattern her own, she lengthened the skirt for extra swish and adjusted the ties to sit at the side seams. The colours in this print really shine, and Helen made the most of every detail.

With only scraps left, she’s planning to line a quilted jacket for a pop of colour and she’s already eyeing up her next make in the Ariadne blue!

Chloe in Blue Summer Floral – Aster Top & Mave Skirt

Chloe’s showcase outfit was a fresh and floaty combo: the Aster Top and Mave Skirt in our Blue Summer Floral Linen. She said the day was a real confidence boost, with lots of compliments on her look!

A long-time Sewing Society member, Chloe loves how the kits take the guesswork out of matching fabrics and patterns, and how the little extras, like custom-dyed buttons and coordinating notions, make every project feel special.

Over time, Chloe’s kits have come together into a beautifully cohesive me-made wardrobe. Her top pick from the new collection? Bougainvillea Island. She’s already sewn up matching dresses for her and her daughter to wear on an upcoming trip to London. The viscose-linen blend felt “luxurious without feeling too delicate”

Sian in Chicacheetah – Closet Core Elodie Dress

Sian’s Elodie Dress in our exclusive Chicacheetah viscose is a perfect match—the drape and swish of the fabric really bring this true wrap style to life. She loved the bodice shaping, appreciated Lauren’s construction tips, and was thrilled with how wearable the final piece is.

For Sian, G&G is more than a shop, it’s a supportive, inspiring community.

From Lauren’s Lives to Facebook group advice, in-store chats, and new friendships made at events, it’s all helped her build confidence in her sewing. She says the kits have encouraged her to try new patterns she wouldn’t have attempted before, and she’s now got a wardrobe full of makes she loves.
